Adsense ads not relevant?

I created a website with Google Adsense ads, as I have with many sites in the past without any problem. However, on this site, Adsense ads are not relevant to the content of the pages they are displayed on. All I get are ads for cable TV offers, but there is nothing on the site that mentions or has anything to do with cable TV. Any suggestions on how to correct this situation? The content is not the problem. The site is ugly with content. This is an article directory with 200 items (Not even making mention of cable) added every day. With regard to the labels and the rest, I created 2 other sites in the past (I've since sold) using the same script and I had no problem with showing them the right ads.
