Step by Step Wordpress Blog Setup Checklist
STEP 1: Finding a niche
When I seeks a niche idea, trying to find is a problem that people want to solve, or a product that people already buy. There are many Web pages and tools that come into my niche selection step. Market Clickbank, Amazon Top Sellers, PayPal Shops and many other resources to brainstorm some ideas for profitable niche. You can find thousands of niches in different areas and new are emerging every day. So there will always be some niches that you could monetize.
STEP 2: Keyword Research
After finding a niche that I believe that to be profitable, I do keyword research. Although this step is also important that all Internet marketing gurus mention, I does not pass a few days or weeks to research keywords. Since I can not be sure if I will get a high rank and some traffic and not try just look at the numbers. Here, I mainly use Google keywords and SEOQuake add Firefox to find profitable keywords and analyze them.
STEP 3: Decide on the concept site
Once keyword research is done, I think about how to monetize. Will I go to Google Adsense, affiliate sales or CPA offers? Will it be an affiliate site review, an info-blog or any other kind? I'm looking for affiliate products related to the CPC related keywords and related CPA offers.
STEP 4: Find an appropriate domain name and register
When the keyword search is over, I lift my eyes to an appropriate domain name. More than one domain name is keyword based, the better. But I can go for a generic domain name – not one or two word generic names, like free software or makemoney course – if I do not domain name with exact keywords and if the one I chose makes me happy with it.
STEP 5: Set up WordPress
The next step is setting up your WordPress blog. It is also right as it is. You can download WordPress on the official website, if your provider Accommodation does not support WordPress.
STEP 6: Choose a Nice / Niche Theme
After the blog is in place, I browse free resources to find a WordPress theme sutiable for my niche. As there are thousands of beautiful free themes and every day more people come I've never paid for a WP theme, but there are wonderful themes that I want to buy in the future. You can check FreeWPThemes.net.
STEP 7: Configuring and Plugins
Once I am happy with the theme of my new site, I pass by setting settings and installing the necessary plugins I use. Some plugins that I use:
- All In One SEO Pack
- Contact Form 7
- Advanced Permalinks
- No waiting Ping
There are many useful plugins that you can find WordPress plugins inside the archive. I make sure to make the blog available to the public by changing the privacy settings and adding some pinging services.
STEP 8: Monitoring traffic with Google Analytics
I like to follow things and I am sure that all internet marketers are the same since they are doing the job. I use Google Analytics to the time and it is really enough for my use. I add the code of the footer.php file just before the closing "body" tag.
Now it is to populate the blog and posting something about it. When My blog has about 10 articles and the theme is set more or less I'm going with the last two steps.
STEP 9: submitting to directories
There are many directories you can submit your site, I have a list of them and submit to 3-5 directories each day. This will my web site indexed faster and bring a bit of link popularity.
STEP 10: get traffic
I tried almost all the traffic techniques such as forum posting, blog commenting, video marketing, social networks that I really like to see that visitors from search engines. The SEO is my favorite, because you work on it once and if you do it correctly, you can Visitors wait for your life as long as there are people looking for terms that you built your engine optimization efforts.
