What are the best ways to advertise a local (Canada) site?
Hi all, I recently launched a http://iHateBadService.ca site, it is an open community for dissatisfied consumers to anonymously share their stories in the service bad. Can someone share their experience in promoting your site locally? From what I observe, facebook, local forum and distributing flyers on the premises may give a better results using Google Adwords. Are there other channels, you can suggest? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Harry
Perhaps you can contact the Consumer Institute (if you have one in Canada) and ask if you can include a link on their website, or if they could talk your site. Just a thought, maybe not work if it's Govt, but if it would significantly increase your visits. Also you can contact with the tourist office or the people who have attended these "go" leaflets and ask if they could include your site. You'd be surprised at the responsiveness people can be a good idea that does not really cost.
