Internet Marketing: The end of the Gold Rush Part 1

If you were in line to the beginning of this decade, namely the turning century, you've probably heard a lot about the Internet "gold rush" and how "ordinary" people all over the world seized the opportunity to make a fortune through Internet marketing different forms. If you were not back online, you can still hear the rush Riches term.

The general idea was that new opportunities in cyberspace were so great and so many people are responsible line to claim their place, the only comparable time in history was the gold rush of the United States, where much of the population National and many other countries moved into the hills of northern California in search of precious metals.

Irony of fate, almost no one is gold. Of course, there were some who struck rich, but most went bankrupt and was on the edge starvation before finally giving up and moving.

Finally, the gold rush of the United States has ended. A few miners made their fortunes and many traders had been very well advised by the establishment of workshop and sales tools and equipment for the mining camps.

The so-called gold rush on the Internet has a similar story.

A small percentage of people who tried to murder a great success indeed. And many rich people are selling "how to" information and marketing tools to the mass of people seeking online cams of their fortunes. But most people completely scratched.

The interesting difference between the gold rush history and the gold rush on the Internet is how things ended, or rather has not ended. Eventually, people came to their senses in the hills of California and has done all the world will find gold. But the World Wide Web, there are still millions of people determined to find their fortune.

So what is the title of this article? What this concept "the end of the gold rush on the Internet?

To achieve this, a look at how Google Adwords has started. At the time the giant search engine PPC released their solution, the great player for sponsored research was still Overture.

For the longest time after leaving beta, yet minimal Adwords offers many prime keywords. In fact, as late as most PPC advertisers in 2003 were still spend their dime Ad with Overture.

Not that fewer people were buying Google ads, there were many fewer sites in the Google index organic. There was a time when anyone with a modest budget could break right into a variety of high-level markets where competition is minimal.

But those days are long gone.

Just trying to find a keyword of choice for today's competitive marketplace. Unless you can spend a little money per click forget.

And with the most competitive markets with millions of indexed pages do not plan to climb top of natural search results either. Even if you're a wizard SEO could take months, perhaps, perhaps into the first ad of a truly competitive market.

The days when everyone with a good product concept for a market with high traffic might simply walk right in and start making money have disappeared forever. If you want to be a player these days, you need a huge budget and thousands marketing know-how, and even then, the bridge is pretty well stacked against you.

The gold rush is over the Internet.
