Wordpress – being asked for the location to save file during the update plugin?

I just installed wordpress on my server Thanks for the famous "5 minute installation" – Http: / / codex.wordpress.org / Installing_WordPress. I am a newbie to complete such things, but have managed to install some plugins and a new theme. My problem is with the Easy AdSenser plugin (and others) – when I make the changes I do and click "Save Changes", it appears a window asking where I want to save the file. php. Just want to me update it and upload on my server. Was I wrong setting somewhere? Or am I doing something else wrong? I'm just trying to save changes to the file online, but it seems to wantme to save it locally. Thank you in advance. Can anyone help me with this? There is seriously makes me crazy and I'm sure it's something fairly simple. I hope someone might know be able to tell me in the right direction. Thank you!
