Can I use public domain graphics, free for the cover of my novel writing …?
… If I credit the artist pictures? I write a book (fiction) and I found two images on the Internet that I believe to be "catchy" tools marketing. Unfortunately, the artwork is being used by a group of music for two of their album covers. Where can I get information on copyright and remuneration to artists as well, as ruled by the Business Law in Canada? (Sorry, two questions, but I do not want to see anyone (including me) injured by the infringement of copyright.) Later Daze! =) Trank
Look in the booklet band, they credited the artist. Then look at the online artist, and see if you find anything that relates to copyright. There will also probably someone at the publishing house that will be able to help with the details and make payment when you publish. Good luck with your book.
