Google Adwords Professional Status

Google Adwords CPC Has Gone Underground Min. Inactive Keywords Alive and Well

First page have replaced min cpc, for all purposes.

Read and weep …

Visit the original blog ppc article on this topic to see the screenshots.

Google Adwords has announced that all keywords are now perpetually active, and they show that active in our reports and status column in the tab page keywords, even with offers ridiculously max cpc down.

This has been our dream, is not it? Not having to worry about keywords "going inactive?

Well, People, this is only theory. The quality of recent updates score does not tell the whole story. Follow me now, and learn the whole truth …

The status column in fact always said keywords are active, but this is not true. We see our first clue to this message: "The offer is lower than the first estimate of the bid page … "

Now, hover over the "Ad Diagnostic Tool" icon, the magnifying glass, and we see this screen, page "Keyword Analysis":

1. Keyword does not trigger the ad, despite the fact that is is "active".
2. Reason: "current bid is too low to be competitive," even if QS is the Grand (4)
3. Details and recommendations, next. Can you guess what the recommendations will be?

Your offer is "not competitive" and may "rarely" to trigger ads.

I translate this really means:

"Non competitive" = inactive for search
"Rarely" = Almost never

Now we must look at the last element on the page keyword analysis, details and recommendations (# 3) …

What can you do? Increase your bid? Why do I need to increase my bid? To "competition" is enough to trigger my ad? If you remember, I manually double checked and saw my ad in that case indeed studay was not showing at all, with only 5 advertisers, for example. only 1 / 2 page ad.

Were we not told that there is no such thing as inactive keywords?

Do we celebrate too soon?

Was it just a maneuver of smoke and mirrors? Why do we say that the keywords would still active?

To make things even worse: there is no way to see these statistics in the reports, or Editor, that the web interface at kilowatts on this analysis tool keyword, keyword by keyword. It's incredibly convenient, to say the least.

It is a major setback for the advertisers who thought CPC min was abolished, only to discover that he is now alive and wrapped, for all purposes.

Currently, the best method to avoid the keywords of "going inactive is a submission to the" first page bid "recommendation or above. I wonder who it benefits, or Adwords advertisers?

This is not so beautiful, that in this specific case study, there were only 5 advertisers, of which 3 are not even relevant to sushi where our advertising ppc keyword client was considered "not competitive" despite a score of high quality.

So you tell me … are the watchwords still active?

I do not think the team Adwords for "First Page Bids" to replace the field min cpc in practice?

Perhaps the min CPC bid should be reinstated, in addition to first page bids, or keywords that are listed as active in the column Status kw must be really active and not hidden behind several screens Keyword Analysis!

Following is a genuine cat I have to conclude, I removed the cat's name AdWords Specialist. ..

Support: What can I help you today?
Dan: I question: Ads Diagnostic Tool
dan on page keyword analysis …
dan: where the message says: Ad Not appearing …
dan: it usually means appearing at all or not on a single page?
Dan: I was told the first page, but this is not indicated in the message.
Support: If the Keyword Analysis page tells you that the ad is not showing, is giving you any other email below that tell you why the ad is not showing?
dan: yes
dan score high quality
dan bid too low to be competitive
dan the first page or not showing at all?
Support: Not really looking at the Keyword Analysis tool currently and judging what you say, if the tool said that the announcement was not aired, the ad is not showing.
Dan: Yes, I also manually double checked that. he did not show all.
Dan: Even if there were only 5 ads on the page I SERPS verified
dan Keyword thought I might never become inactive since the new update?
dan: first, the keyword also shows active in the keyword tab …
dan: only when I click on the tool, and dig the details screen, I see that the keyword does not trigger ad …
dan: how is this compatible with KW being "active"?
dan in the past, if the offer has been kW threshold min cpc bid … kilowatt showed that "inactive" …
Support: The keyword is active, but is the quality score and CPC must still exceed a threshold for the tag to enter an auction ad.
dan: What you just said, like a double standard. kw is either active or its inactive.
Support: Yes, you must use the analysis of keywords to determine the reasoning if your ad does not generate any impressions in your account.
dan esp not a practical solution, if an account has tens of thousands of keywords …
Support: Here is an article of our Centre Help that goes into more detail on this subject:
Support: Removing inactive for search
Dan: I read this page …
dan: but the paradox still holds …
dan: it is now impossible to adjust bids in bulk.
dan: there was much logic in the past where we could know what KWS are inactive, through reports editor or kw.
dan: This new situation creates a huge obstacle for advertisers precisely adjust bidding.
Support: With the old system, if the keyword has been inactive for search, the keyword will never be entered in the auction. With the new system of keywords, a keyword may be eligible for the auction for a search query and not for another.
Dan: I understand that this is a more dynamic … But …
dan: the problem still exists.
dan: if I adjust supply to 1 percent, and kw is listed as "active", but in reality it is "rarely" save impressions …
dan: what is the value of "active" status for advertisers?
Support: It depends on whether it met the threshold for each auction.
dan: exactly
dan 1 cent, most likely would be "rarely" if ever the threshold. then what is the value of the "active" state kilowatts?
Dan: It will be impossible to manage effectively the lowest bids
Support: The value of this statute is that if the tag reaches the above, it would appear in the auction for that keyword.
dan: it was suggested to me to delete keywords that were active not pay all the impressions in the last 2 weeks …
dan: if I followed this advice now …
Dan: I would probably delete words keys that were really "off", even if they were listed as "active"
dan: it would not be very wise, would it?
Dan: Another reason to restore the "inactive" status.
dan: why not use both fields … first page bids, and on the ground min cpc?
Support: I would say that the new system, if you see that your keywords do not have to pay for all impressions, it may be wise to look this keyword to determine if you should change the tag or remove it from your list.
dan totally impractical. i manage the accounts of 100,000 keywords which is not uncommon for managers to business customers.
dan the new system is "broken"
Support: Dan, I'd be happy to spend along this feedback to the team.
dan thank you very much
dan: I am pleased to contribute to improving the system
Support: Because this system is newly introduced, the team is concerned by comments from our advertisers on these issues.

Conclusion: Inactive for search is alive and well.
