Online job searches and resume the presentation, are they effective?
I wonder if anyone has had luck with job searches line such as Hot Jobs, Career Builder, Monster and others? I put my resume on the three and all I get are offers to transfer money "scams. When I make a job application and submit my CV, I have never heard anything back from the employer. I checked with a trainer curriculum vitae and she said my resume is good and should not be any problem. I have a AAS in Accounting, (and I am 6 classes to obtain my Bachelor Business Admin with accounting). I apply for jobs in accounting, which are in my realm of experience and meet the requirements. I wonder how treating employers online resume / applications. Did they even read them?
It is hit and miss really. It is not unusual for employers to receive 100 and 1,000 applications for jobs online. Yes, I applied online and were surveyed. You have a job once this situation. Most of the time I go to these sites and can not find a suitable job. These sites have become an idiot now because they do not delete the old job. The job search sites are becoming the employer of last choice in the job posting. They have to pay to post jobs and capacity reductions, many companies streamline and the decision not to go online to these sites. They can simply post jobs on their own website.
