That funds of the Government of United Kingdom / help is there to start a small business?

I have an idea for a business – I want to start a book sale of old and new bookstore, online commerce and as a shop. Unfortunately, years of life just below the poverty me left with a bad credit personal (CCJ, defaults, etc..) My partner and I are both wage employment, but on very small (the minimum wage, I £ 7 per hour). We have no savings or assets to invest, the family are unwilling or unable to help. And because of our credit rating, no high street bank would touch us with a barge pole. I live in a region of the United Kingdom with high unemployment and I heard about the renewal grants in these areas. Is there support offered by the government (and not taking into account a bad credit history or lack of capital)? they offer assistance to people like us? I just want a better life for my family and my son as it seems we can not get this working for other I want to try to work for me. Please help!

I was in the same situation. I wanted a sound system to create company as a supplier of karaoke. I got a grant from the local community of 1,500 pounds because I wrote a business plan mini mine and hundreds of applications has been one of the best. Jobcentre put me on various courses to teach me about business, taxation, marketing, etc. etc. etc. They provided me with personal business advisors. It turned out that I need £ 4000, so they took me told where I could get a loan, even if banks do not give me one and they taught me to write a business plan at a very high me the loan. Jobcentre allowed me a six month commercial trial which means I would get all the benefits of being unemployed and still has the right to trade in the same time. To qualify what I had to give up £ 1,500 grant which meant I had to borrow the whole £ 4,000. The Governemt are very interested in helping people find jobs and / or to start a business as long it does not cost too much. I am now running my own business for nine months because of the help Jobcentre me. Your situation is slightly different from mine, but it is always wise to speak to the Jobcentre you even if you are employed, because they know many contacts.
