Online Marketing Job Descriptions
What exactly does a marketing analyst to do?
I would prefer an answer from someone who was acutally a marketing analyst. I just could not find a job description online but they are mostly broad generalizations. Thank you!
The short answer is …. they analyze the market. As part of developing a new product or line extension, they analyze the market (competition, consumers, prices, distribution, communications, product characteristics, etc.) If a product is already on the market, they examine how whose product is, how do the competitors, and make recommendations for the strategy. They make recommendations or ideas for cost estimating ROI (return on investment) to display marketing programs, they analze results. See if the program "worked"
