frustrating job search?
I actively looked for work recently (online) near North Seattle area and is so frustrating not being able to find one. I already have bachelors in business management and am working on my diploma Graduate (MBA). But I had no work experience since I have not been working on a job since I got. Added to that is I do not have much of this network because I'm new to the country. I know the job market sucks now and things are a little crazy, but I just feel that I should be able to find something related to my field and not something I'll be overqualified! I do not know how or what I should do to find a professional job. What to look for? Under this position? how and where? I need big help if please please!
You did not say if you live in the same area. Assuming you do, then take to the streets. Go Door to door and start looking. Try banks, public services, wherever you can. You will not be over-qualified you will have to be trained to do the job. Start as an entry level position, then the way you work. After getting a job, start a career plan. Then follow the plan. If you do not work in the field, you may have to wait until you're there to find a job. Yes, it will be difficult. But once you get a job, it will be easier for you because you have an income to supplement your real objective, finding a job in your profession. How find a job? Join civic clubs, ask around, find a church (the name that you are affiliated) and ask them if they know someone who hires entry level. Check your college and see if they have a career placement center. Get names of companies interviewed there in the past. restaurants, chain drug stores. Each of them would love to have you there.
