I will be out of the country for an extended period of time and thought it would be the perfect time to get my BA Business Administration / Marketing … Online. I had some problems, however, finding a school that accepts me (I credits under 30 Completed college, and I am unable to make a final if it is necessary that I am in the U.S.) and is affordable. I done some extensive research on the University of Phoenix, but I'm not sure if I can tighten the $ 59K pricetag. Do you know of any accredited level Regional universities have affordable programs that are completely online? And if a school is accredited by the DETC – Distance Education & Training Council, is an acceptable form of accredidation? (It will transfer if, for example, I wanted to get my Master). I am a resident of California. I can not go Community College … they need me to be at school to take the final.
DETC is legitimate and is recognized by the U.S. Gov't. However, if you want to transfer credit or go to a graduate program accredited four then you will probably find yourself out of luck. DETC accreditation is most valuable when you are considered professional / technical programs as a terminal (you do not want to transfer) program. For example: programs to ICDPs / DETC and Ashworth are the ones I saw in the professional category are excellent. Their classes in degree programs associated with not yield to your local state university property. Go with regional accreditation if you want to continue your studies. DETC is not a regional accrediting agency.
