social media marketing association
Social Media. Is it just hype, or is it reality?

The Direct Marketing Association believes that this is the real thing. They are still promoting their annual conference on Myspace: myspace.com/dma07_chicago I do not know what to think. What do you think?

I was a networker Online networking sites for any business over four years (www.ryze.com) and I get about half of my business clients through a site. But do not be fooled. It's not like you throw a MySpace page and suddenly you are overwhelmed with sales. There is much more than that. Political candidates who use social networking sites? Remember, they do all sorts of things offline to drive online traffic to their page, network, whatever blog. The fact that there was a Democratic presidential debate with YouTube is a very good sign that this way of exposure is for real. But it was not for YouTube alone – there was YouTube, with CNN who brought tons of attention. strategies Online work better when they fit with the strategies offline. If you just try to use strategies in line because you try do all this with a small budget, you should also do things like article marketing, affiliate programs and more. Oh, and you need to be building relationships with people who come to trust you over time and then maybe they will do business with you. It works – but it is not instantaneous. The way I get clients, is that people get to know me in my online network that I had for over three years and I worked very hard to build a good reputation and about 2,000 members. Once Occasionally someone asks me questions about my services and I refer him to my site. The site contains much information on what works with me is like and ends with a questionnaire in which they are told that if they respond I will contact them by e-mail to schedule a one on one phone or a Skype meeting to answer their questions, tell them my rates, etc. I am very clear about this. So I do not get a lot of tracks – but more often by the time I take you are very well qualified because of the way I wrote the copy on my site to attract people who are more likely to be serious about working with me and filter and which are not.
