online business tax preparation
Do I have any type of federal identification number to file taxes as a business tax preparer?

I thought starting a business part of the taxes in the spring (I'm a CPA). If I want yields and 40-50 to allow my clients e-file and make direct deposit, do I have any type of identification number of the IRS? Also, do you know of any good economic tools and tax preparation I could use to file all of these statements? I prefer an online tool where strange that my computer crashes. Thank you!

When you sign the declaration that the paid preparer must either you or your SSN number PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification) that you want obtain from the IRS. (Neither one is better, but you may prefer to use a PTIN, so that your SSN is not there on all statements you do.) Request PTIN on Form W-7P. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7p. pdf
